MASTERS AT WORK: Adam Gee & Peter Curran

Every month, Irish Film & Television UK will be hosting an evening with award-winning talents from the world of international film and TV production at The Century. These events feature a range of industry professionals including writers, directors, actors, composers, cinematographers, agents, and producers, all sharing their experiences on everything from major Hollywood franchises to independent passion projects. This month, join us for a unique opportunity to learn from Adam Gee, Emmy and 6-time BAFTA winning producer and commissioning editor.
His latest feature documentary is ‘The Pilgrimage of Gilbert & George’, going out on Sky in May. His most recent scripted project is futuristic drama on which his fellow producers were Ben Affleck and Matt Damon. Besides film and television, he has been a pioneer in digital and interactive media, with expertise ranging from multiplatform TV to AI. Adam has commissioned at Channel 4, Little Dot Studios, Red Bull Media and CAA (Creative Artists Agency).
Come and hear about the intricacies of the industry, career-building insights, and how to navigate both successes and setbacks. Adam and other expert practitioners will be there to answer your questions, along with our host, BBC Radio 4’s Peter Curran.

Irish Film Festival London Unveils Award Winners
Irish Film & Television UK (IFTUK) is delighted to announce the winners of the Irish Film Festival, London at its annual award ceremony held at the Irish Embassy in London on 20 November 2023. The Irish Ambassador, Martin Fraser, welcomed guests at the red-carpet awards ceremony.
Patricia Kelly's debut feature Verdigris won the Best Feature Film Award
One Night in Millstreet won the Best Feature Documentary Award
Veteran filmmaker Joe Comerford was the recipient of The Súil Eile Award for his outstanding contribution to the Irish film industry
The Ros Hubbard Award for Acting was awarded to Alison Oliver and Éanna Hardwicke
Grace Dyas’s Waiting Day won the Best Short Film Award
The jury for the 2023 Irish Film Awards was headed by Festival Director Michael Hayden, and included Colm Bairéad and Cleona Ní Chrualaoí, the Director and Producer of The Quiet Girl, Anna Rodgers and Shaun Dunne, Director and Producer of How to Tell a Secret, Kelly Campbell, Director of An Encounter and IFTUK Board Members Peter Curran, Steven Greenfields and Tara Gaule.
The festival showcased an exciting programme of the latest Irish feature films, documentaries, animation and short films in November (15-19) at the Vue West End, Vue Piccadilly and the London Irish Centre. This year’s partners were the Department of Foreign Affairs, Screen Ireland, Tourism Ireland, Culture Ireland and the Century Club.
